Frozen Yogurt

Seeing the popularity of frozen yogurt, today we decided to try making it. The sweet blend of fruits and yogurt was delicious! We used French Vanilla yogurt, but plain yogurt can work as well. If you do use plain yogurt, you may want to add a little bit more sugar. We made little Mochi balls for a topping (for a quick-and-easy recipe to make Mochi, check out our post Mochi and follow the directions in making the dough). Yes, the Mochi may not have a distinctive taste, but we can tell you from first-hand experience you won’t be able to stop eating it! Other toppings we used were sour gummies, strawberries, and chocolate chips (you can’t go wrong with chocolate!).

Here is the recipe for the Mango Frozen Yogurt:

  • 1 1/3 cups French Vanilla yogurt
  • 2 cups frozen mangoes
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Method:

Blend all of the ingredients together until smooth. Put in an icecream maker for 10-15 minutes.

The recipe for the Raspberry Frozen Yogurt is similar:

  • 1 1/3 cups French Vanilla Yogurt
  • 2 cups frozen raspberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Method:

Blend all of the ingredients together until smooth. Put in an icecream maker for 10-15 minutes.

Once your frozen yogurt is done, top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
