Classic Brownies

What’s better than the smell of brownies baking in the oven? In many instances, nothing. These brownies are easy to whip up, creamy, and delicious!

To make these scrumptious goodies you’ll need…

  • 1 1/3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • a handful of chocolate chips

Method:

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. You may wonder why sifting is such an essential part in baking; sifting helps combine ingredients while breaking up clumps of flour. In short, sifting helps make the brownies light and fluffy.

Stir the cocoa into the melted butter; than blend in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Once these ingredients are thoroughly combined, add in the flour mixture and than the chocolate chips.

Place the mixture in a greased baking pan and in an oven heated to 350F. Bake for about 35 minutes and let cool for a few minutes before enjoying with a cold glass of milk!
